Pregnancy, labor, birth.

You are training for one of life’s biggest physical and emotional challenges. The work of growing a whole new person, safely bringing that person into the world, and allowing your own identity to evolve into parenthood goes far beyond the evaluation of your vital signs, your lab results, and your baby’s medical status.  We are your coaches and guides.  We will teach you, we will listen to you, we will push you, and we will cheer you on.

Whether your pregnancy is low risk or more complicated, we will be your advocates for normal, vaginal birth.  We are known in this community for our skill, our judgment, and our perseverance.  In our minds, we offer you the best of both worlds, an intimate team of midwives who trust birth and are experts in normal who collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine for seamless care in the event of complications during pregnancy or at the time of labor and birth.

We use a shared decision-making model. We work hard to be sure we are speaking the same language, and we connect regularly on expectations for the day of your birth.  We have the utmost patience with the birth process, and we trust that your instincts plus our experience will give you the best chance for vaginal birth.  We will be there when you know the way, we will stay present when you doubt yourself, and we will know when you have carved your own path.
